The SSNED is planning to organise 3 training workshops as follows:

1. Competition Law and Policy in the Pacific Small States; Small-size Constraints, Institutional Design and Regional Cooperation. The date for this workshop is yet to be announced, but will probably be in January2011. The venue will be in Apia, Samoa. The workshop is being organised in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance of Samoa. 20 public officials coming from small Pacific states are expected to benefit from the workshop. 2. Competitiveness Strategies and Capacity Building with special reference to the African and Indian Ocean Small States. to be held on 15-17 November 2010 in Port-Louis, Mauritius. The workshop is being organised in collaboration with the Regional Multidisciplinary Centre for Excellence (RMCE). About 20 public officials coming from small African and Indian Ocean small states are expected to benefit from the workshop. Click here for more information and nomination forms.

3. The Small Countries Financial Management Programme (11 - 23 July 2010). The programme is being provided by the Small Countries Financial Management Centre and is designed and directed by Oxford University's Saïd Business School, in collaboration with the International Business School at the University centre in the Isle of Man. The first part of the programme will be held in the Isle of Man, with the final four days taking place in Oxford. The SSNED is collaborating in this programme.
